In 2012 she was the recipient of the Exceptional Teacher Award by Penn State Medical Students and received recognition from the biology department at York College of Pennsylvania in 2007. Dr. Barker attributes her success to wanting to set a great example for her children, Colton and Teagan, as well as providing the best care for her patients.

Looking ahead in her career, Dr. Barker is excited to assist UPMC Pinnacle in opening hospital-associated clinics. Healing patients is the most rewarding part of her career, and she plans to use her platform and abilities as a doctor to provide cutting-edge and necessary components of care to anyone walking into her clinic.
