Since 1991, Dr. Falck has made a difference in the lives of his patients in regard to the health and wellness of their eyes. He has been able to serve his patients as an ophthalmologist and CEO of his practice, the Falck Eye Center, LLC. In addition to treating patients on a daily basis and managing his practice, he is on the forefront of medical innovation with developing technology. Dr. Falck has been developing a device that diagnoses patients at risk for glaucoma and who is at risk of developing a stroke. This device has been cleared by the FDA and is currently being produced for market by Falck Medical Incorporated.  This device is the culmination of 18 years of research, and eight years of FDA clinical trials.

Dr. Falck was motivated to go into the field of eye care as he believes that vision is the most precious sense in the world. It is our sight that keeps us connected to the world and allows us to appreciate the beauty that exists within it. Always knowing he wanted to work in a service impacted mankind, he decided in the area of vision protection and vision restoration was the obvious choice. In this respect, Dr. Falck earned an MPH and PhD in public health from the University of Michigan in 1982. He continued at the University of Connecticut to receive an MD in 1986 prior to completing a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Rochester in 1991. He spent an additional year under a fellowship with the Anterior Segment Eye Surgery & Glaucoma with the University of Michigan.

Dr. Falck remains committed to helping the public with their eye care in every way that he can. In 1999, he established the Community Glaucoma Screening Program. His work as a medical professional was recognized in 2010 with the Man of the Year in Medicine award by the World Forum of Cambridge University. Throughout his career, he has remained connected with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Falck feels strongly about helping others and in his line of work is governed by characteristics. According to Dr. Falck, “It is important to have honor and integrity. If you give your word, it is important that you follow through with it… integrity and commitment are important characteristics to possess.”
