Jeffrey M. Weber, MD, FASGE, Gastroenterologist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership.

Dr. Weber’s father was a family practitioner. It felt natural for him to pursue medicine, as he and his father shared a special bond. He pursued an education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a Bachelor of Art in English. In the following years, he remained at the university, though he relocated to the medical school in order to earn an MD. After graduating in 1974, Dr. Weber went to the Georgetown Division of the District of Columbia General Hospital, where he completed a residency in internal medicine.

Certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology, Dr. Weber began his career at the West Allis Memorial Hospital in 1986. After several years as a medical director, he further explored the administrative side of medicine. He proceeded to act as the president of the Milwaukee Digestive Disease Consultants and a sub-investigator at Discovery Research. In the years since then, Dr. Weber has returned to clinical practice. Since 2018, he has been a clinical gastroenterologist at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Alongside this role, he educates medical students as an associate professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Additionally, he is the chairman of the board for the Phoenix Cancer Support Network, which is a nonprofit organization that was set up in honor of his daughter, Annie, who, unfortunately, lost her battle to cancer at a young age.

Dr. Weber has been awarded numerous times for his professional accomplishments. In 2014, he was listed among the Leading Physicians in the World in Gastroenterology by the Medical College of Wisconsin. Earlier in his career, the Community Research Council of America presented him with America’s Top Physicians Award, and, in 2001, he was named as the Best Doctor in Milwaukee by Shepard Publications. An active member of his community, he is a member of the Milwaukee Gastroenterological Society, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, among several others.
