Mark Stein, Allergist, Immunologist, Researcher and Author, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.

Since 1979, Dr. Stein has worked in private practice in West Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to his current work, he served in the United States Army Medical Corps from 1969 to 1979, rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel and receiving an honorable discharge. He was a fellow of allergy and clinical immunology at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center/National Jewish Medical and Research Center from 1975 to 1977 and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Letterman Army Medical Center from 1972 to 1975. He began his career as an intern at the Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, where he worked from 1968 to 1969. Dr. Stein considers the highlight of his career to be a study he conducted which led to him being invited to work on the book, “Gastroesophageal Reflux and Airway Disease,” in 1999. He has additionally contributed numerous articles and abstracts to professional journals and meetings, and he is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. Dr. Stein has also maintained affiliations with numerous further professional organizations.

In preparation for his career, Dr. Stein attended La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1964. He concluded his higher education at the Jefferson Medical College, now the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, graduating with an MD in 1968. In addition to these accomplishments, he has been certified as a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. As a further testament to his success, he has been selected for inclusion in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.
