Dr. Hardware was always curious about the human body. At nine years old, he decided that he wanted to become a physician. He proceeded to earn a Bachelor of Science from Andrews University and then an MD from the Howard University College of Medicine. There, he went on to complete his required internship and residency. With all of the necessary prerequisites fulfilled, Dr. Hardware set out to begin his professional career, wherein he found much success.
During his earlier years, Dr. Hardware worked as the medical director of the Walter Reed Medical Center and the Washington Adventist Hospital. Later, from 1986 until 1991, he was employed with the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2001, Dr. Hardware became an emergency medicine physician at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates group practice. He has remained there since, alongside his role as a teacher for the Medical Faculty Associates of India, which he acquired in 2009. In the coming years, Dr. Hardware will begin the process of scaling back his work in order to focus on reading, writing, and traveling.
