Heather L. Branstetter, MD, Gastroenterologist at TDDC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements and leadership in gastroenterology.
A gastroenterologist with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants (TDDC) since 2018, Dr. Branstetter began her professional career as a doctor at Northern Hospital Associates in Fairbanks, Alaska, in 2007, remaining in this position for seven years. She then transferred to the Tanana Valley Clinic in Fairbanks for one year before becoming a third-year fellow at the Methodist Health System in Texas from 2015 to 2018. Prior to the start of her professional career, Dr. Branstetter pursued a formal education at the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science in physiology in 1998. She then attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where she received an MD in 2003. She went on to attain an additional MD in medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2007.
Outside of her primary trade, Dr. Branstetter is affiliated with numerous organizations related to her field. She maintains involvement with the Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Medical Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. In light of her accomplishments, Dr. Branstetter received the Freedom Medal for Outstanding Athletics and the Outstanding Teacher Award. Moving forward, she plans to be doing the same work she is currently doing. She wants to see her practice grow, mature and become busier.
