William O. Houston, DDS, Retired Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements and leadership in dentistry.
With 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Houston has been retired since 2001, having held a private practice as an oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1961. In addition to his primary roles, he was an active member of his community. A former staff member of St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, he served on the board of directors and as a staff member of St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center. Dr. Houston was also a consultant for the VA Medical Center and the E&T Medical Center.
Dr. Houston first pursued an education at St. Martin’s College, where he completed coursework from 1949 to 1951. He continued his studies at Creighton University, earning a DDS in 1955. He subsequently joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1955 to 1958. He concluded his education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed postgraduate coursework from 1958 to 1959, and completed postgraduate coursework at the Geisinger Medical Center from 1959 to 1961. Dr. Houston is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
