She continued her studies with Columbia University, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 1984. She is licensed as a physician in the state of New York.
A respected voice in her areas of interest, Dr. Weber has been an active member of her community. A contributor of articles to medical journals, she was a reviewer for the journal Ophthalmology, the medical director of Gift of Sight-Rotary, and a board member of the Macular Degeneration Association. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her contributions to the field. Named a Top Doctor on Long Island by Newsday, she received the AMD Certificate of Excellence from the Macular Degeneration Association and the Certificate of Appreciation from Winthrop Hospital. She was also the recipient of the Award for Vocational Service and the Volunteer Award from Rotary International.
