Marc Duerden, MD, Director and Founder of Indiana Medical Examinations, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medicine.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Duerden founded the practice of Indiana Medical Examinations in 2016. Prior to establishing his own firm, he was a partner with Rehabilitation Associates of Indiana from 1994 to 2016. In addition to his clinical roles and duties, he has been the Medicare Contractor medical director with National Government Services since 2012 and he has been an assistant clinical professor with the Indiana University School of Medicine since 1993.
Dr. Duerden first pursued an education with Purdue University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry in 1985. He continued his studies with Indiana University, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 1989. A fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he is a life member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a past president of the 7th District of the Indiana State Medical Association, the Indianapolis Medical Society and the Indiana Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a frequent guest examiner for the oral board certifications. He has board certifications in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Independent Medical Examinations and Disability Analysis.
