Kenneth Candido, MD, Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in anesthesiology.
With 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Candido has been a clinical professor with the University of Illinois at Chicago and the chair of anesthesiology at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center since 2008. Prior to obtaining his current roles, he held a number of positions with Loyola University Chicago, including director of the pain management fellowship program from 2007 to 2008, professor of anesthesiology from 2006 to 2008, director of the pain management division from 2005 to 2008, and assistant professor from 2005 to 2006. He has been licensed to practice in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Illinois.
From 2001 to 2005, Dr. Candido was an associate professor with the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, having been an assistant professor with Rush Medical College from 1998 to 2002. He also served as an attending physician with Cook County Hospital from 1997 to 2001. Earlier in his career, he was an assistant clinical professor with the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1989 to 1995 and an assistant adjunct attending physician with Lenox Hill Hospital from 1989 to 1992. He holds a Doctor of Medicine from the New York State Board of Regents.
