Growing up, Dr. Davis initially thought that he would become an aeronautical engineer. He worked in a pharmacy for three years while in high school. During that time, he had ample opportunity to observe several dentists, physicians, and the pharmacists daily. Inspired by his environment, Dr. Davis decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Upon graduating from Mars Hill Junior College with an Associates in Art in 1961 and a Bachelor of Arts from Samford University in 1963, he secured a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama in 1967. Dr. Davis notably completed service as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force between 1967 to 1969.
A respected general practice dentist, Dr. Davis has been dedicated to the city of Dallas for over 50 years. In maintaining his own private practice, he and his team strive to provide a healthy environment for patients, while teaching them about the prevention of dental disease, decay and gum disease. Recognized nationally and internationally for his commitments to dentistry, Dr. Davis has served as President of one of the four international dental honor societies and as guest lecturer on Dental Volunteerism as well as Bonded Bridge Restorations.
For his accomplishments in the field, Dr. Davis was presented the Humanitarian Award from the American Dental Association in 2018. Additionally, he was recognized as the Texas Dentist of the Year 2014, having been a four-time recipient of a Dentist of the Year Award in Dallas. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Davis has been featured in the first edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and the 20th and 21st editions of Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.
