Michael Spedick, MD, Ophthalmologist at the Ocean Eye Institute, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in ophthalmology.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Spedick has been an ophthalmologist with the Ocean Eye Institute since 1987, also holding a private practice from 1986 to 1988. In addition to his primary roles, he has been the ophthalmology chair at Community Medical Center since 2009 and an assistant professor at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since 1993. Prior to obtaining these roles, he held a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology with the Children’s Hospital at the National Medical Center from 1985 to 1986, having held a residency with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 1982 to 1985 and with Rutgers Affiliated Hospitals from 1978 to 1981.
Dr. Spedick first pursued an education with Seton Hall University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1974. He continued his studies with Rutgers Medical School, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 1978. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Ophthalmology. For his contributions to the field, the Community Medical Center named him a Physician of Distinction.
