A leading expert in the field of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Citrin has been the owner, president, and chief executive officer of Citrin Medical Corporation since 2015. In addition to his primary roles, he has served as an attending physician for MDNow Urgent Care since 2014. Earlier in his career, he was with Urgent Care of Fort Lauderdale and an orthopedic research assistant with Holy Cross Hospital in 2014.
Dr. Citrin first pursued an education with Tampa Preparatory School. After earning a High School Degree from Tampa Preparatory School in 2001, where he won the Science Award and captained varsity soccer and track, Dr. Citrin earned a BS cum laude in Biology from Davidson College in 2005. He then trained athletes for four years as a strength and conditioning coach and competed in Bodybuilding winning Mr. Gainesville Middleweight and Overall in 2006. Subsequently, he obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with honors through Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class in 2013. Upon graduating, He subsequently completed a rotating internship in orthopedics with University Hospitals Regional Hospitals from 2013 to 2014. Through his certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning, Dr. Citrin has also honed his expertise in preventive, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, is Board Eligible in General Practice with the American Academy of General Practice, a Founding Fellow and Diplomate with the American Academy of Stem Cell Physicians. He is a member of the American Academy of Lifestyle Medicine, the Florida Medical Association, Florida Osteopathic Medical Associations and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in order to remain aware of changes in the medical field. He has been certified as a strength and conditioning specialist and personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Over the years, he has also provided his time and resources to Nova Southeastern College of Medicine, serving as Clinical Faculty, Weinberg Assisted Living Facilities, Shands Pediatric Lipids Clinic, the YMCA, Davidson College and Wake Forest University. With a plethora of medical and athletic conditioning and training knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Citrin has further contributed research to several articles.
Throughout his career, due to his outstanding work in medicine, Dr. Citrin has been honored on many occasions. The Practice, Citrin Medical was named Business of the Year and Doctor of the Year multiple years running and named to the Boca Business Hall of Fame in 2019. At Nova Southeastern he was nominated for student of the year and inducted into the Psi Sigma Alpha AOA Medical Honor Society. He was inducted into both Alpha Epsilon Delta Premed Honor Society and Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society, as well as the National Residence Hall Honorary. In 2006, he also accepted the Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship. Looking toward the future, Dr. Citrin intends to continue providing excellent personalized preventive healthcare plans for every patient.
