Dr. Rajendram earned a BSc in neurosciences with Honors in 1998 and then in 2001, as well as achieving an MBBS in medicine and surgery with Distinctions, he was also awarded the associate membership of King’s College (AKC) diploma in theology, philosophy, and ethics. Dr. Rajendram is uniquely certified in General Internal Medicine, Acute Medicine, Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in the United Kingdom and was awarded fellowships by the Royal College of Anaesthetists, Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, and Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK in 2009, 2013, and 2017, respectively.
Dr. Rajendram has held various esteemed roles throughout the course of his career, including working for the Oxford University Hospitals as a specialist registrar and consultant from 2002 to 2013. Dr. Rajendram also consulted for the Royal Free Hospital, London before taking his talents to his alma mater as a visiting lecturer from 2014 to 2017.
Alongside this occupation, Dr. Rajendram’s work as a research associate and visiting lecturer with Professor Victor Preedy’s research group at King’s College, London (1998 to 2017), has greatly advanced the modern understanding of several aspects of clinical nutrition. This is evidenced by his prolific academic output; Dr. Rajendram has published over 200 original research papers, books, book chapters, reviews (systematic, narrative and specialist) and conference papers. He has presented scientific and medical work both nationally and internationally via conferences.
Dr. Rajendram relocated from England to Saudi Arabia where his main appointment is as a consultant for King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. Additionally, he serves as a joint appointment assistant professor at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Rajendram commands respect across major medical, academic and scientific tiers. Dr. Rajendram is proud of the work he has accomplished and enjoys seeing his former students’ success as well as his patients regaining health.
