Michael Stern DDS, Dentist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in dentistry.
For more than 35 years, Dr. Stern has been living out his dream of helping others. As a dentist, he operates under his area of expertise which is life extension dentistry. He is involved with the oral bacteria that can contribute to bacterial plaque that can lead to heart attacks and strokes. He has worked under his own practice since 1993, specializing with craniofacial pain, life extension dentistry and sleep-disordered breathing. In 2011, he established the Assist to Succeed of Willoughby Hills, the Accelerated Dental Assistant training program. Dr. Stern continues to be at the forefront of dental medicine with establishing the Snoring and CPAP Solutions LLC in 2018.
Dr. Stern was set on his path by first earning a Bachelor of Science at Ohio State University in 1968. He continued at the institution to receive a DDS in 1972. Knowing the value of continued education, he received a TMJ certificate from Long Island University from 1981 and completed a miniresidency in craniofacial pain at Shands Medical Center at University of Florida in 1989. He has become board certified in pain management through the American Academy of Pain Management and has received instruction in temporomandibular joint dysfunction syndrome from Long Island University. In his career, Dr. Stern has taught at Cleveland State University and considers this time to be the highlight because so many of his students have come to him later on just to tell him of the impact he had on their lives.
From 2006 to 2007, Dr. Stern served as the team dentist of the Cleveland Browns. He has also been the chair of the board of trustees of the North Coast Spring Dental Meeting since 2001. Since 1996, he has advocated for dental health as a media spokesperson on dentist for WSW-TV. He has maintained his fellowship with the American Endodontic Society and with memberships with the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Northeast Ohio Dental Society and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
