Soren John Vindekilde, Physician, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in public health.
Dr. Vindekilde always had a strong interest in public health, realizing that in serving the public, not only are you caring for the patients that come through the door but you also care about the patients that are not being seen by any provider. In public health versus private practice, Dr. Vindekilde understands that his patients may not be receiving regular or good health care or may be at high risk. This is why he chose to work in this part of the field as it allows him to address the needs of the community around him.
To become a physician, Dr. Vindekilde earned an MD from the University of Wisconsin in 1975. He later received an MPH from the University of Texas in 1986 and an MBA from the Houston Baptist University in 1998. With this background, he served as the medical manager for the City of Houston Department of Health and Human Services. Furthermore, Dr. Vindekilde provided his skills and experience as a volunteer physician for Planned Parenthood. In his career, he has been a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American College of Preventative Medicine, the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society.
