Woodrow Violet, Chiropractor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in chiropractic medicine.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Violet was in a chiropractic private practice from 1966 to 1984 in Santa Barbara, CA, also holding practices in London, UK from 1973 to 1974 and in Carpinteria, CA from 1974 to 1984. Earlier in his career, he was with the California National Guard from 1953 to 1955 and the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1963, spending ten years as a rifleman tanker medic. He knew from an early age he wanted to help people and found that the field of medicine was one of the best ways to appeal to this nature.
Dr. Violet began his career as a student at the United States Army Medical Service School, graduating with honors in 1955. He then joined Ventura College, where he completed coursework from 1961 to 1962. He concluded his studies with Los Angeles College of Chiropractics, graduating in 1966. He is the recipient of an Award of Merit from the California Chiropractic College and a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Chiropractic Antitrust Committee. Dr. Violet is a patentee of a surgical instrument and in recognition of his success, he has been awarded the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.
