Arnold Bierman, Optometrist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in eye health.
Dr. Bierman possesses more than four decades of experience which allows him to provide top quality eye care for his patients. To prepare for a career in eye care and health, Dr. Bierman attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1966 and graduating with a Doctor of Optometry with honors in 1968. That same year, Dr. Bierman established his private practice in Lansdale, PA, and worked as both a clinical instructor and later an assistant professor from 1968 to 1979. Remaining with his alma mater, Dr. Bierman taught courses in care analysis and clinical optometry and from 1976 to 1987, he served as a visual consultant for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, a pre-school screening program for physically handicapped children in Norristown, PA.
What differentiates Dr. Bierman from his contemporaries is his holistic approach to treating patients. He treats visual stress typically ignored by other practitioners that alleviates ailing and positively changes the quality of people’s lives. Dr. Bierman attributes his success to his tenacity and persistence while overcoming obstacles. In his line of care, he specializes in treating children and adults with reading problems. Dr. Bierman prides himself on continuing the pursuit of knowledge. He believes that learning is a lifelong endeavor and he constantly educates himself on the latest health care techniques instead of remaining content with his knowledge upon graduation.
In his career, Dr. Bierman has maintained affiliation with a variety of organizations. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and holds membership with the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society as well as the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the Bucks-Montgomery Optometric Society, the Optometric Extension Program and the College of Optometrists and Visual Development. Furthermore, Dr. Bierman has been a member of the US Healthcare’s eye care quality assurance committee in Blue Bell, PA, from 1992 to 1999 and was the chairman of Jaycees Amblyopia Clinic in Lansdale from 1969 to 1970.
Dr. Bierman provides vision correction procedures and therapies including preventative eye care CRT-related exams, vision therapy, non-surgical reduction of nearsightedness and behavioral vision care among many other procedures. In his career, Dr. Bierman has contributed to numerous articles and professional journals and served as the editor for the Pennsylvania Optometrist Journal from 1979 to 1981. When he is not practicing eye care, Dr. Bierman enjoys art, music, bowling, photography, basketball and baseball memorabilia. In recognition of his success, Dr. Bierman has been awarded with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who’s Who in the World.
