Michael E. Moats, DDS, Dentist at Moats Dental, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in general dentistry.
Drawing upon nearly five decades of industry experience, Dr. Moats is a renowned dentist who has been serving patients out of his own private practice, Moats Dental, since 1977. During this time, he also briefly held the role of assistant clinical professor at Loyola University School of Dentistry from 1977 to 1978. He commenced his career as a science teacher at New Trier West High School in Northfield, IL, from 1969 to 1973.
A licensed dentist in the state of Illinois, Dr. Moats holds a Bachelor of Science from Davidson College and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University, where he graduated cum laude. Equally passionate about serving his community, he formerly served such organizations as the OMNI Youth Service, the Buffalo Grove United Way, the American Cancer Society, the Prairie Christian School, the Midwest Epilepsy Center and the Long Grove Community Church, where he formerly acted as a deacon and consecrated lay minister. In his spare time, he enjoys breeding and entering Doberman pinschers into national competitions.
As a testament to his success, Dr. Moats has accrued several accolades. The recipient of a Presidential Citation from Rotary International, he also received the Academy of General Dentistry Award and a Paul Harris fellowship. Likewise, he has won a Super Service Award from Angie’s List every year since 2010. He has been highlighted in the first edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, as well as several editions of Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in the World.
