Jeffrey Grove, Physician, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Medicare advantage, osteopathology and theater.
There aren’t many doctors like Dr. Grove, who not only practices medicine that saves lives every day, but also contributes to the arts in a way that has helped others. He has practiced medicine since the early 1990s and recently added Tony-award winning producer to his long list of achievements. In June 2018, he was awarded the prestigious theater award for producing “Once on This Island,” a Broadway revival. In an interview with Spectrum News, he recounts that being a doctor and theater producer are more similar than they seem pointing out that both professions have the power to heal.
Since 1993, Dr. Grove has been in the business of healing others with SunCoast Family Medical Associates. He had previously served as a resident in family medicine and intern at the facility before signing aboard full-time. In addition, Dr. Grove has been the medical director at Barrington Properties, the Oak Manor Nursing Center, the Drew Village Nursing Center and the Highland Pines Nursing Center. He has contributed on numerous committees and has taught at such institutions as Southeastern University College and Kirksville College. Dr. Grove grew up with the influence of his grandfather, father and uncle, who were all doctors practicing osteopathic medicine. To follow in their footsteps, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Florida Southern College in 1986 and a DO from Southeastern College in 1990.
Outside of the Tony award for his musical theater accomplishment, Dr. Grove has also received accolades for his other endeavors. In 2000, he received a Distinguished Trustee Award from the SCH Foundation. Dr. Grove had also been named to the Outstanding Young Men of America. In his career, he has maintained affiliation with a variety of organizations that have aided in professional development. These include the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society, the American Osteopathic Association, the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association and the National Eagle Scout Association.
