Dr. O’Brien received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and subsequently transferred to the University of Buffalo School of Biomedical Science, receiving a Doctor of Medicine in 1986. Completing a residency in radiology at the Jackson Memorial Hospital with the University of Miami in 1990, he is certified in vascular and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
Offering patients cutting-edge technology to perform minimally invasive procedures as an alternative to surgery, Dr. O’Brien delved into his field due to a prying interest in solving diagnostic dilemmas with radiology via CT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the American Roentgen Ray Society. He is also a former member of the American Medical Association.
