With 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Arrey-Mensah has been serving as an owner and allergist with the Asthma, Allergy & Immunology Institute since 2007. Alongside this appointment, she has been a member of the teaching faculty at both the Michigan State University College of Medicine and Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where she also maintains affiliation with Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills and Royal Oak, MI.
To prepare for her illustrious career, Dr. Arrey-Mensah pursued a formal education at the University Of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 1989. She subsequently completed a residency in pediatrics at Henry Ford Hospital in 2000 and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2005. Board certified in pediatrics, allergy and immunology, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, she maintains membership with the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Arrey-Mensah always loved medicine from her formative years, as she took care of her dolls and her siblings in her youth. As an adult, her compassion for her patients has only grown. She is often described as a natural physician with medicine being second nature to her. Putting her patients first, she enjoys seeing smiles on her patients’ faces and helping them achieve better health and wellness. Looking toward the future, she intends to conduct more volunteer work in the industry and her community, especially underserved communities that require a higher level of care.
