Raina M. Ernstoff, MD, FAAN, FACP, Neurologist at the Myasthenia Gravis Treatment Center with Beaumont Health, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in neurology.
Amassing four decades of experience in the field, Dr. Ernstoff is a dedicated and versatile medical professional whose compassion and individualized care is highly recognized in the community. She has been serving as the director of the Myasthenia Gravis Treatment Center with Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, MI, since 1978, where she also specializes in headaches, movement disorders, memory and cognitive disorders, and epilepsy, among other ailments. Alongside this appointment, she also held the roles of associate clinical professor in the department of neurology at Wayne State University, assistant clinical professor in the medical advisory committee at the Greater Detroit Alzheimer’s Association, and president of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc.
To prepare for her illustrious career, Dr. Ernstoff pursued a formal education at Wheaton College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She subsequently attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, receiving a Doctor of Medicine in 1970. She completed an internship at Harper University Hospital, a residency in neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and a fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurologic Disorders. She has since been certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
A contributor of myriad articles to professional journals, Dr. Ernstoff attributes her success to her family, who was always supportive of her endeavors and encouraged her to do her best. She was especially influenced by her father, who was also a physician. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to medicine, she was elected a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Neurology.
