Alongside his primary endeavors, Dr. Nazarian was a board member of the James P. Wilmot Foundation and locally served the Boy Scouts of America as a troop committee member for 10 years. A member of the council committee in the Lutheran Church of Reformation from 1969 to 2014, he presently volunteers his time to second graders in the realm of reading at various elementary schools.

To prepare for his illustrious career, Dr. Nazarian pursued a formal education at Yale University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1960. He subsequently transferred to the University of Rochester, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine in 1964. He has been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. In addition, Dr. Nazarian has contributed myriad articles to professional journals throughout his tenure and was an editor-in-chief of the Pediatrics in Review Journal from 2005 to 2012.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to medicine and education, Dr. Nazarian was honored with the Education Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2012 and the National Pediatric Teaching Award from the Ambulatory Pediatric Association in 2002. He has been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and Who’s Who in the East.
