Jack Zeltzer, MD, Surgeon at JFK Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in endovascular therapy and vascular surgery.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Zeltzer has been a surgeon with Florida Heart and Vascular Care at the JFK Medical Center since 2017. Prior to obtaining his current role, he was a surgeon with Palm Beach Surgical Associates from 1994 to 2017 and with Niloff, Simon, Zeltzer, and Goff from 1986 to 1994. He has also served as a peripheral vascular surgeon with Lake Worth Medical Center from 1983 to 1986, and he was a clinical assistant with the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgical Service of Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec from 1976 to 1983.
Dr. Zeltzer began his career as a student at McGill University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 1966. Under the tutelage of his mentor, Dr. Nathan Sheiner, he developed an interest in vascular surgery, and he earned a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Surgery in 1970. He then joined Jewish General Hospital for an internship until 1971, and a residency in general surgery from 1971 to 1974. In 1974, Dr. Zeltzer was named chief resident of general surgery, and in 1975 and 1976 he was a resident in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
Dr. Zeltzer is recognized as a diplomate if the American Board of Surgery, Inc., the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the Medical Council of Canada. He is certified in general surgery in the Providence of Quebec, and in the states of California and Florida. Dr. Zeltzer is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Throughout his career, Dr. Zeltzer has been recognized for his contributions, having been named among the Top Doctors of Palm Beach by Palm Beach Illustrated. He has been featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World. The proud father of three adult children, Dr. Zeltzer is particularly proud of having been involved in the Palm Beach County Medical Society program aimed at providing access to patients who have difficulty obtaining medical services.
In his free time, Dr. Zeltzer enjoys music and playing the drums.
