Debbie M. Palmer, DO, FAOCD, FAAD, Medical Director at Dermatology Associates of New York, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in dermatology.

Exhibiting enthusiasm about her profession from a young age, Dr. Palmer knew since junior high school that she wanted to enter the world of dermatology. Passionate about her career choice, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1989, a Master of Science in chemistry from the University of North Florida in 1995, and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, summa cum laude, from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1999. Dr. Palmer subsequently interned at Northside Hospital and Heart and Vascular Institute in St. Petersburg, FL, from 1999 to 2000 and completed her residency in dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital from 2000 to 2003. She has since been licensed to practice medicine in New York, Connecticut and Florida and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Furthermore, she is licensed in New York by the Drug Enforcement Administration and holds a certification in basic life support.

Since 2011, Dr. Palmer has been the co-founder and medical director of Dermatology Associates of New York, where she specializes in cosmetic and medical dermatology with services such as Botox®, sclerotherapy for leg veins, laser hair removal, hair restoration and implantation, treatment of brown spots and skin rejuvenation, and sun protection, among others. She is additionally the founder of Replere™, a natural phenolic antioxidant skin care line. Her range of products features anti-aging ingredients, including Coffee Arabica Extract, which aid in neutralizing free radicals that damage skin. Alongside her primary endeavors, Dr. Palmer is affiliated with Dermatology Associates of New York in several capacities, including as a member of the student advocacy overcoming the odds selection committee and the student advocacy board of directors, as well as the former co-chair of the student advocacy overcoming the odds support circle. In addition, she has served as a court expert for the Supreme Court of the State of New York since 2013 and a skin cancer screening volunteer for White Plains Hospital since 2003. She currently is on staff at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut as an adjunct to her private practice.

The author of “Beyond Beauty: Proven Secrets to Age Well, Look 10 Years Younger & Live a Truly Happy, Healthy, Long Life,” published in 2016, Dr. Palmer has written alongside other physicians and contributed articles to such esteemed journals as the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, Cutis and Dermatology Times. A featured expert on the television show “The Doctors,” she has also presented topics at national and international medical conferences. Dr. Palmer maintains affiliation with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, and the Westchester Dermatology Society.

In recognition of her exceptional contributions to medicine, Dr. Palmer has accrued several accolades throughout her illustrious career. The recipient of the Excellence in Dermatology Award by St. Barnabas Hospital Health System in 2001, she received the Janet H. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation in 1999 and Certificates of Achievement in Histology and Neuroanatomy by the University of Health Sciences in 1996. Additionally, she is a fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology. Notably, she has been highlighted in the sixth edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare. Looking toward the future, Dr. Palmer hopes to continue experiencing the growth and success of her career.
