Monte Swarup, Co-Owner and Co-Founding Partner of New Horizons Women’s Care, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in women’s health.
Dr. Swarup viewed women’s health, specifically pertaining to obstetrics and gynecology as a unique opportunity to serve and foster lasting relationships with patients. With hard work, a clear thought process and authenticity, he has built a successful career as an OB/GYN. In addition to running the New Horizons Women’s Care center, he is a member of the Physician Team for Reliability and Safety with Dignity Health, chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Chandler Regional Medical Center with Dignity Health, assistant clinical professor at Midwestern University, and chair and cofounding partner of the AOA. In addition, Dr. Swarup has participated in the Resident Research Program of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, with the Medical Student Research Program with the University of Pittsburg and with the Student Summer Research Training Program with the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Swarup first earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Arts and Sciences from Cornell University in 1990 before attending the University of Pittsburg to receive a Doctor of Medicine in 1994. He completed a residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in 1998. A board certified obstetrician and gynecologist with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Inc., he holds medical licenses with the states of Texas and Arizona.
A respected leader in the field, Dr. Swarup is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Inc., the American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Association, the MCMS, the American Urogynecologic Society, the AAGL, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Swarup is also involved with the Phoenix Obstetrical & Gynecological Society, the American Association for Physician Leadership, A4M, and the National Women’s Health Clinical Advisory Committee for the Laboratory Corporation of America.
Throughout his career, Dr. Swarup has received a number of accolades for his contributions. From 2012 to 2014, he received America’s Top OB/GYN Award and the Phoenix Super Doctor Award. He has been named to OB/GYN Top Docs from Phoenix Magazine on several occasions and has received a Patients’ Choice Award from Vitals. Furthermore, Dr. Swarup received several scholarships from FAES while pursuing his degrees. Dr. Swarup has contributed to a number of publications, and he was the coauthor of 2016’s “A Randomized Controlled Multicenter US Food and Drug Administration Trial of the Safety and Efficacy of the Minerva Endometrial Ablation System: One-Year Follow-Up Results,” and has contributed to “The Harmony Prenatal Test” from OBG Management.
