Jeffry L. Huffman, MD, Urologist at the University of Southern California, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical education and management.
Dr. Huffman has a wealth of experience in the medical field due to his positions as a trauma surgeon with the U.S. Air Force and his solid education. He is an expert on urology, the treatment of kidney stones, cancers of the prostate, bladder and kidney, as well as urinary infections, incontinence and infertility, as well as in such treatments as minimally invasive surgery for the bladder, prostate and kidney, including endoscopic surgery, laparoscopy, and the da Vinci robotic surgery. Since 2007, he has directed the Institute of Urology at the University of Southern California, and he previously taught at the institution from 1987 to 2007. In addition to these positions, Dr. Huffman has been the Chief Executive Officer and founding president of the USC Medical Group with the University of Southern California and the senior associate dean of clinical affairs at Keck Medicine of USC.
In order to provide the quality care he has been known for throughout his career, Dr. Huffman first earned an MD from Loyola University. He continued his learning experience as an intern at the OSF Healthcare System and then as a resident in urology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He subsequently served as a resident in general surgery at the OSF Healthcare System and a resident in urology at The University of Chicago. Dr. Huffman is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He has maintained connection with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer and is currently a member of the da Vinci Robotic Program.
Dr. Huffman has been recognized on numerous occasions for his work and leadership. In 2017, he was named to Best Doctors in America by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. In 2009 and 2007, he received an Air Force Expeditionary Medal with Gold Border. Furthermore, Dr. Huffman has an Operation Iraqi Freedom Campaign Medal and two additional meritorious service medals. During his career with the military, he served as the Chief of Staff and Colonel for the 349th Medical Squadron with the Travis Air Force Base. As a stand out in the medical field, he has been aided in his professional development with connections to the American Urology Association and the American Board of Urology.
