Chandan Guha, MBBS, PhD, Vice Chair at Montefiore Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in urology.

A widely regarded contributor to the field of medicine, Dr. Guha has served as vice chair at Montefiore Medical Center for more than 10 years. In addition, he is works as a professor of urology, professor of pathology, and professor of radiation oncology with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, as well as a director of the Institute for Onco-Physics. A diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Guha has been licensed to practice in New York since 1998.

A dedicated member of the scientific community, Dr. Guha currently serves as an associate editor with the Radiation Research Society. He is also recognized as an editorial board member with Radiation Medicine Rounds and Hepatic Medicine: Evidence and Research. He has served as an ad hoc reviewer of several professional journals, as well as a contributor of articles to industry publications and chapters to books. In addition, he has been a member of several study sections with the National Institutes of Health, and as a consultant and lecturer in his fields of expertise. For more than 10 years, Dr. Guha has been recognized as the chair of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Translational Research Program with the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Guha began his career by receiving a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery, from the Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College in 1987. He has since completed a PhD in immunology with the Medical University of South Carolina, as well an internship in transition medicine, several residencies in radiation oncology, and a research fellowship in radiation oncology. From 1997 to 1998, Dr. Guha was recognized as the chief resident of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center. Upon completing formal education, he joined the medical center as an active staff attendee. Since 2000, Dr. Guha has been recognized as a director of translational research with the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

In recognition of his commitment to health care, Dr. Guha was recently named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly and New York Media LLC. He previously received a research grant from the National Brain Tumor Foundation, as well as a Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Fellowship from the American Association for Cancer Research.
