Bianca Siegal, Pediatric Otolaryngologist, Assistant Professor at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pediatric otolaryngology.
Since 2015, Dr. Siegal has served on the faculty with the Department of Otolaryngology at Wayne State University. She shares her experience as a doctor with future generations of medical professionals. In this same period of time, she has worked at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Delving back into her career, Dr. Siegal coordinated Code Blue while matriculating at the Wayne State University School of Medicine from 2006 to 2007. During the same time, she served as the local chair of the World Health Student Organization at the university. From 2011 to 2013, she acted as a conduit as the ABOto Liaison for the American Academy of Otolaryngology. She became the administrative chief resident at Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center in 2013 until 2014. In 2016, she took on the role as the basic science course director for the WSUSOM Otolaryngology Residency Program, a role that she still is involved in today. That same year, she also took on the co-director position of the Multidisciplinary Aerodigestive Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, and as a board member of the Lions Hearing Club.
In 2017, Dr. Siegal earned a Teacher of the Year Award from the Detroit Medical Center. She has also received recognition with a Difference Maker Award from the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and a Distinguished Service Award from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Siegal received the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation in 2009, was inducted to the Aesculapeans Honor Society in 2008 and the Phi Sigma Theta Honor Society in 2004. She is a fellow member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Since 2009, Dr. Siegal has been a resident member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Seigal was interested in medicine at an early age and first earned a BS in biochemistry from the University of Michigan with honors in 2005. She continued at Wayne State University to receive an MD. Following this, she became a resident at Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center before completing a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She became involved in the medical profession because she enjoyed working with children, being a mother herself. She is separated from her peers by her hard work, empathy and passion for education.
