A native of Saulgau, Germany, Dr. Schupp earned a MD from the University of Ulm in 1981, and is certified in neurology, psychiatry, social medicine, and as a physiatrist and geriatrist by the Bavarian Chamber of Physicians. He entered practice with the Psychiatric Clinic Reichenau in Konstanz, Germany, and has worked with such illustrious institutions as the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry and the Neurological University Clinic in Munich, Germany. Among his many roles, Dr. Schupp has notably advised the Federal German Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, as well as the Bavarian Chamber of Physicians since 1994.
Dr. Schupp has been a prolific contributor to medical literature, most recently as co-author of “Return to Work in Neurological Diseases” in 2014. He has written on the topics of vocational and traveling aspects to neurological diseases, disability in Germany, as well as stroke and rehabilitation. He is a member of such societies as the German Society for Neurology, the World Muscle Society, and the European Academy of Neurology, which accepted him into its personal delegate of assembly.
