Peter C. Galier, MD, FACP, Co-Founder at Premier Health Partners of Santa Monica, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Medicine.
Dr. Galier co-founded the Premier Health Partners in 2015, and continues to serve as vice chief of staff for the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center at Santa Monica. He has been with the university since studying at the affiliated David Geffen School of Medicine to earn a MD in 1992, and has given much of his time in various educational and medical capacities for the school. Dr. Galier is a practitioner of internal medicine, a community advocate for the FBI Citizens Academy and a contributor for the teen safety driving video, “Every 15 Minutes.” He has appeared in four volumes of Who’s Who in America.
An alumnus of the Loyola Marymount University, Dr. Galier earned a BS, magna cum laude, in general biology in 1986, and after becoming a doctor he served an internship and residency in internal medicine with the David Geffen School of Medicine. He was named chief resident from 1994 to 1995, and went on to a fellowship with the UCLA Medical Center. Later, Dr. Galier went on to co-found the UCLA Internal Medicine Consultants of Santa Monica. In the ‘90s, he served as a clinical instructor and attending physician, later serving as chairman and chief of staff in a number of respects. Dr. Galier has also volunteered as attending physician with the Venice Family Clinic and as a contributor to the Rape Treatment Center of Santa Monica. He also gives to the Toberman Center Youth Foundation.
In addition to a safe driving video, Dr. Galier is often a presenter with teaching conferences and lecturers. He has a byline on many articles in medical literature, and was named one of the 2016 To Doctors by Castle Connolly, as well as one of the Top Doctors in Hollywood by Hollywood Reporter. Other honors include the Order of the Golden Bruin and numerous awards by local magazines, notably a Compassionate Doctors Award. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of numerous medical groups, including the New York Academy of Sciences, the California Medical Association, and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Galier has two children with his wife, Donna.
