Dr. Naidu was inspired to enter his profession mostly by his father, who was interested in medicine. When he saw babies with early diagnoses, Dr. Naidu knew he wanted to get into the field of pediatrics. He has worked hard to become a physician, and has given his time to numerous committees and councils to better children’s health. He has recently completed a fellowship in advanced pediatric non-invasive cardiac imaging, at the McGovern Medical School of the University of Texas Health Science Center, and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
An alumnus of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh, India, Dr. Naidu earned both a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in 2007. He went on to the Driscoll Children’s Hospital, the St. Mary Hospital-Medical Center of Southeast Texas, the St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, and the Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, all in Texas, to serve clinical rotations in a medical externship. Dr. Naidu went on to a pediatrics internship with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and served a residency with the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center. Dr. Naidu returned to Texas in 2013, where the McGovern Medical School accepted him in a pediatric cardiology fellowship. He has continued to treat patients in the South ever since.
Dr. Naidu has received numerous grants for travel and research, most recently to Honolulu with the Philips Ultrasound Clinical Services. He has also received grants from The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the American College of Cardiology, and the St. Jude Medical LLC in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Naidu started his medical career as winner of the 2007 Debate Competition of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Guntur Medical College, and has gone on in an editorial capacity for medical literature. He was named a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, the Fetal Heart Society, the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, the Pediatric Heart Network, the American Heart Association, the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography, and the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council, where he is a member for life.
