Dr. David Donaldson, Consultant in Chemical Pathology, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in chemical pathology.
Throughout Dr. Donaldson’s career, he has performed life-saving medical services, instructed medical students, lead programs and written and contributed to several publications. For nearly fifty years, his work impacted and saved many lives. Prior to retiring, he worked as a consultant, neurologist and surgeon. From 1984 to 2006, Dr. Donaldson provided his knowledge as a consultant in chemical pathology for BUPA Gatwick Park Hospital, Spire Healthcare Group plc. From 1970 to 2001, he consulted in chemical pathology for Crawley Hospital with the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. During that same time, he also consulted in chemical pathology for Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. Dr. Donaldson has previously directed pathology at the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as well. Earlier in his career, he was a house physician for the Selly Oak Hospital, a registrar in general medicine with Victoria Hospital and an assistant resident medical officer for the General Infirmary in Leeds, England. On top of all these roles, Dr. Donaldson shared his knowledge of the medical field with prospective health care workers as a lecturer in clinical biochemistry at the London South Bank University.
Set on his path at an early age, Dr. Donaldson earned a Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Birmingham in 1959. He received an MD that same year from the institution. His work has been recognized with numerous accolades, included the Mori Felicitation Award from the International College of Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine in 2002. Throughout his career, he has maintained affiliation with a number of organizations to continue his professional development. These organizations include the Medical Society of London, the Royal Society of Medicine, the Royal Society of Public Health, the New York Academy of sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Dr. Donaldson has contributed to numerous works and authored his own publications. He has been an editorial board member of the “Journal Royal Society for the Promotion of Health,” and the author of “Psychiatric Disorders with a Biochemical Basis.” He provided his writing skills as a co-author of “Diagnostic Function Tests in Chemical Pathology,” and “Essential Diagnostic Tests in Biochemistry and Haematology.”
